About Sri U. Ve. Sohattur Parankushacharya Swami
Late Ghanapāṭhi Vidvān Sri U. Vē. Parāṅkuśācārya [1905-1974] was an illustrious scholar of Salakṣaṇa Ghanānta in Kr̥ṣṇa Yajur Veda, Dharmaśāstras, Sāhitya, Vyākaraṇa and Vedānta, besides being proficient in the divine songs of Alvārs in Tamil and Pāñcarātra Āgama. Śrī Parāṅkuśācārya was an authority on Śrīvaiṣṇava Sampradāya and was conferred the title ‘Bhūloka NityaSūri’ on 14 January 1963 by Ubhaya Vedānta Pravartana Sabhā, Bengaluru.
